The district hand-delivered its first “reduction-in-force” notices to teachers Friday, and will issue the rest Wednesday, a district news release said. The state requires notification to teachers by Friday if their contracts might not be renewed.At least [!] it wasn't 160-odd positions, as the District had prepared for in its worst case scenario.
Classified staff members – such as bus drivers and teacher aides – will be notified by the end of the school year if they’ll be laid off. Year-round employees will be notified by Aug. 31.
So, Rep. Kessler, are we urgent yet?
